The Packers and Saints can be Cincinnati's model offenses. They both have their primary target in Greg Jennings and Marques Colston that can line up anywhere. They also have their big, athletic Tight End as their secondary target. To fill their other receiving roles, each team rotates role players that are used to each individual's strengths. The Packers use Donald Driver, Jordy Nelson, James Jones and Randall Cobb. The Saints rotate Devery Henderson, Lance Moore and have replaced Robert Meachem with rookie Nick Toon. Every receiver brings a unique skill set to their offense. The Bengals could be looking to these two franchises as their blueprint to offensive success. With Green and Gresham as the main targets, Sanu, Shipley, Jones, Binns and Andrew Hawkins can provide advantages due to their varying styles of game play. Through this rotation at the number two WR spot, when Sanu, Jones, Binns, Shipley and Hawkins' powers combine I am Captain Planet, together they are more than enough to compliment Green, Gresham and Andy Dalton.

No disrespect to Graham because he's truly a phenom, but we were putting up record numbers before anyone ever heard of Jimmy Graham.

... the Saints/Packers/Patriots are the standard and a lot of NFL teams are trying to replicate what they're doing with obtaining a big-armed QB and giving him a slew of receivers to throw at ... I know that's been the blueprint for the Lions and it seems to be working out well ... but the Giants won the SuperBowl with defense and it took the Forty-Niners pretty deep into the playoffs, so you still have to address the other side of the ball ... gonna' have to keep an eye on them Bengals.

That article reminds me of an old Steve Martin joke, "How to make 10 million Dollars in 5 easy steps. Step 1, get 1 million Dollars".

Andy Dalton, good start, but he's not Drew Brees | Aaron Rodgers | Tom Brady.

BTW, the joke went something like that. Going by memory here.

Building an offense like the Saints is one thing but finding a QB that can throw on time and on target is very difficult. I can't tell you how many times I've seen Brees complete a pass and said man, that should have been picked off, another inch or two and that's their ball. Alex Smith can't make those throws so what do they do...work within his means and ride their defense. That's why I believe copying another team's blueprint is not a good idea. You have to get the most out of what you have and understand their limitations. Simply trying to copycat another team is a recipe for failure.

Yes, but Graham replaced Shockey... Shockey didnt do anything phenomenal.

The OP leaves out the most important factor.

Saints - Brees
Packers - Rogers

Bengals - Tony pike? Dalton, Gradkowski, Robinson, Hanson? RFLMAO

Silly Goodberry... You couldn't do what you are implying if you had 5 Jerry Rice's.

We were patterned off the Patriots. In Paytons book he talks about going to New England to see Belichic and asking if he could pattern the Saints after the Pats. He spent time with various personnel throughout the organization finding out what they do right and then rebuilt the Saints from the ground up. We are following their blueprint and sharing in their success.
