Of course, Im old, and also super busy, so a lot of things that used to bother me, dont anymore. I was also the only Hispanic in my school, so naturally I ended up with "Pedro" as a nickname. It annoyed me at first, as Im sure "Jumbo, Smurf, Opie, and Juggs" & a million other names annoy people. Meh... I picked my fights, and didnt worry about Pedro. Now, I leave messages for my old classmates that go, "hey, this is Pedro, how the hell are you?"

Oh, and when I flew in the helicopter, there were 4 or so other choppers from other tv stations, and everyone talked to everyone on the radio.... One guy always asked my pilot if he was carrying "that long haired freak." (me) Same guy ended up helping me get a job later on. I let people assume I was some sort of flag-burning, dope smoking, tree hugging whatever-- just for fun. I had fun with it. Everyone of my roasters would give me the shirt off their back.

Anyway, peace to you, and some good vibes too. I enjoy your posting here. You gotta admit, this is actually a pretty tame & civil site, and Im glad you're here. Definitely stick around and talk about something we all agree on--- our love for the Saints (and Louisiana and the Gulf Coast).
Good stuff. I haven't noticed anyone looking down on long haired guys in my area of the country (South Alabama). From my point of view they're still viewed as pretty cool, and I'm in my 40's.

Now curley haired guys, they're losers.

I hear what you're saying man. And I know I'm not the only one who gets grief over anything, I just have no patience with it. I don't mind good natured insults, but when somebody looks at me like I'm a monster or says something sarcastic to imply that I or someone like me is a loser just because we don't look like an aristocrat, a fuse goes off somewhere in me.

To answer you question though, living in Crowley definitely doesn't help, lol. Other than the few of my family members who live here and a few friends, it's pretty much a town full of morons and punks.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

One of my facebook friends posted this and I thought it would add a little levity to this thread. Not meant to demean, I promise. Just comical. Well, in a way...

hahahaha... MCAA ... theres a dance for that.

Dont be a chinest, Halo. Multi-Chinned-Americans have rights too.

btw, I'll bet Crowley has plenty of good ol people I would enjoy having a beer with. I get along well with Rural-Americans these days.
