Another Saint will crack the players list Wednesday!!!!

On Wednesday, another New Orleans Saints player will crack the Top 100 - New Orleans Saints Football NFL News - NOLA.com

Jabari Greer, I'm sure. If not him, possibly Roman Harper after racking up all of the sacks.

SaintsRule11 05-22-2012 12:13 AM

Probably Colston, who was ranked 53 last season. And he had a better year in 2011 than 2010. Or it could be Jahri Evans.

TreyThomas 05-22-2012 12:20 AM

But it says defensive player?

"A New Orleans Saints player will be revealed on NFL Network's The Top 100: Players of 2012 on Wednesday at 7 p.m. on the NFL Network.

The Saints player revealed plays on defense, is ranked between No. 60-51 and was included on the list last year.

This will be the second Saints player revealed on the list so far -- Darren Sproles came in at No. 86."

Curtis lofton

Vilma... Of course... in hommage to the current suspension saga!

Only two defensive players from last seasons team could be on the list, Greer or Harper they are the ones that deserve it

I know who it won't be.......................................#58 :jester:

I don't get much out of these rankings, but I did notice that Sproles was at 86. That's a pretty gross underestimation... I know he isn't an every down back, but he is also heavily involved in the passing game, and whenever he gets the ball he is absolutely unstoppable. Then factor in his dynamic return skills and you have a player that no one wants to face. It's why he broke the record for total yardage in a season. But whatever, we have him and they don't, so HA!

Lofton? He was on the list last year .... no way its Vilma, he was injured half the season last yer

There is tunnel vision about RB yardage. If a RB doesn't get the yards rushing then it's frowned upon in any rating system. But I'm fine with it like BM stated. I'd take Sproles over any one dimensional 1500 yd RB anyday.

I don't understand how Darren is at 86. Did the people/players not watch him this year?

saintfan 05-22-2012 11:24 AM

Hell I read the thread title and thought Roger was about to fine and suspend another one of our guys...

I thought another player was going to sue Goodell. I think many are waiting in line.

Wonder where Reggie ranks on this list? He did have a big year for Miami and the NFL network is part of the player hype machine........

While I'll give it to him for having had a great year with the Dolphins, he should never be ranked higher than Sproles, but like you said - it might happen because of all the hype surrounding him throughout his career.

I think the player in question is Greer like some have already suggested.
