Obviously a stupid question, Benson should write him a personal check and deposit it in an offshore account for Drew's grand kids to live off of.
That being said, I tip my hat to Loomis for thinking long term instead of doing the popular thing. How many times does a big signing handcuff a franchise? I say pay the man make sure the contract is a win for both sides. |

I have no idea if this is legal in the NFL or not, but how about say a 7 year playing contract, say worth $140 million, then upon retirement a personal services contract kicks in for say like another 50 million over 10 years or so???
