What would YOU Vote For?

So much drama in the NFL. If you were a player, which course of action would you choose?

|Mitch| 05-24-2012 08:07 PM

I voted for "suck it up", Vilma and "possibly" Fujita spells the end for Roger I think...

saintfan 05-24-2012 08:17 PM

You can vote for more than one. I voted for two. Strike...and eat a burrito.

hagan714 05-24-2012 08:24 PM

no make the nfl pay for shooting their mouths off.

this is America, your innocent till PROVEN GUILTY

bobdog86 05-24-2012 10:19 PM

I voted for 3, Let's tighten our belts and go to work, sue the absolute dog pi** out of 'em and by all means, and most importantly.....lets get a damn burrito.

QBREES9 05-24-2012 10:50 PM

Lets SHUT UP AND PLAY FOOTBALL !

Turbo Saint 05-24-2012 10:58 PM

burrito for sure...all in for that.

but def keep the lawsuits coming as long as they're legit...no reason to replicate the medical field's stranglehold on idiotic lawsuits.

SloMotion 05-25-2012 07:04 AM

... I want to clarify something before I vote ... are we talking about your every day, run-of-the-mill Taco Bell burrito or are we talking about a Man-vs-Food (Denver), Season 1, Episode 16, Jack-n-Grill 7 Pound Breakfast Burrito? If we're talking the Jack-n-Grill, 'eat a burrito' gets my vote ... and keep the lawsuits coming/no strike ....

sharke 05-25-2012 09:31 AM

Screw all the law suits.

Reason: Name one thing that EVER came out good after a team of lawyers got involved?

No offense to any lawyers here, but a money drain on either the players or the NFL is not a good thing. They NFL and the owners will recoup any losses from... guess where... anyone? anyone? Beuler?

The fans.

saintfan 05-25-2012 04:20 PM

Damn we gotta lotta burrito-eatin' mother ****ers up in here. LOL

They will in fact pass the buck on the fans. The only way for the players to balance the field though is through lawsuits. With the average career being 2 years in the NFL there really is no other option. Getting everyone to tow the line with such a short career span (on average) you can't exspect players to fight it out in a CBA.

If I'm an owner, I'm fine with the nuisance. The players can't do much more than complain and file a few lawsuits. Big deal. It won't change anything and the odds are in my favor of them losing in a courtroom.

In the Baton Rouge area it's Izzo's ... you can get a burrito roughly the size of a 2-liter soda bottle

jeanpierre 05-27-2012 05:39 AM

Voted the players have to accept the contracts they sign, however...

I say we find out who ran their mouths and take the burrito and shove it up...

thefifthwall 05-27-2012 11:00 PM

Players got lawyers NFL has lawyers Goodell has lawyers.
Only way to win is first play first game gotta knock em the #### out!
That would get Goodell's attention as well as the rest of the NFL

TheOak 05-28-2012 05:44 PM

Perhaps the players need to stop looking at the NFL as a career and look at it as a job.

If you or I stop working at 32 years old we are a f-in bum....

Retire means = Worked somewhere long enough to draw a pension, or never has to work again.

Very few NFL players make enough money to stop playing and never work again... So it is not a career, it is a job.... and a short term job at that.

Average NFL Player Salary = $1.9m
\Average NFL career length = 3.5 years

Average career pay for an NFL Player is $6.65m

So lets see... Grad College at 23, play till your 27.... Live till you are 70.

47 years to live on $6.65m

Thats $141,000.pp a year. Sounds decent until to look at $147,000.00 in say 2059 dollars.....

In 2012 147,000 with 4% inflation in 40 years would have to be $705,750.

After this off season I don't think I could survive a strike. Sue the bast*** repeatedly.

IDK, wouldn't that mean a lot of them would have to drop the telecommunications/physical education majors and start taking engineering courses in college?

Marlboro Man 05-30-2012 07:49 AM

Well, if I was in the Big Easy, I can assure you that I wouldn't be eating a burrito or a taco, just saying. As for my vote, I voted to keep the law suits coming but no strike, however, a strike by the players would get the leagues attention, if all the players in the league went on strike too, but even if just the Saints players went on strike it might get interesting as well.

Supertek 05-30-2012 08:35 AM

Afterv looking at X626XBlacks's numbers I realize how poor I am and need a burrito now. Sad thing is that the Lawers are there already being paid on retainer now looking for big bucks. The NFL in my opinion needs to have health care to take care of these guys getting hurt which would solve a lot of problems. I thnk they can afford that to prevent all this kind of mess.

After those figures I dunno if I can afford a burrito now ...

TheOak 05-30-2012 01:29 PM

Here is the catch.. (because its my nature to find one).

If you are going to keep the lawyers coming.. you cant rule out a strike.

Its like a gun, if you pull it out, you better be able to use it or it will be used on you.
