I fired up that we have a defensive coordinator that uses the word elated.

This guy sure sounds like a cerebral DC, not just a rah-rah type.

After watching that press conference video, it's hard to express with words how happy I am that the Saints were able to get this guy to run their D.

In all of the earlier videos I've seen where Spags has appeared, he has always seemed a little "tight" or "grumpy" or something like that, and it seriously made me think that maybe he wasn't too happy afterall to have signed with the Saints. But in this video it was clear that he is enjoying himself and happy with the decision he made. Maybe it was just all the other BS - that has been the 2012 offseason for the Saints - that had him kind of uptight, but once they got back into the actual football side of it all, it seems that he's much happier.

I just hope that the Saints will be able to keep him as their DC after they win the SB at NOLA.
