Depending on how the sample was chosen, 1500 could be enough for the sample to be representative of the target group. It's hard to say without any further knowledge of the setup of the survey...

With surveys the sample size isn't often as important as the way the sample is chosen and how the overall survey is constructed and conducted - even small sample groups can give a very representative results for a large target group.

There are quite complex mathematical equations that are used to determine whether or not a certain sample and/or result is representative and to what degree, and if those guidelines - that are agreed upon by the scientific community - were followed, I see no reason to doubt the result of this particular survey.

But, whether or not there's ultimately a point to this type of a survey in the first place is probably a matter of taste.

This confirms what I always have been saying, the Jaguars have no right to exist in Jacksonville. Say hello to the LA Jaguars.

It was my understanding there would be no math ...

I've lived in tons of different places across the country. It never fails any chick I start dating is a Cowboys "fan". I then know they are not real football fans and she's gonna be trying to get me to go hiking on Sundays. Never fails... And I can't hike with hand full of nachos and a guinness. Sorry.
