this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; 139th Pick – DT, Rodney Leisle, UCLA So, with Lavalais still on the board, was this pick a good choice? I don't know anything about this guy so I'm wondering what you all think....

Yes, it was a good choice. Chad Lavalais is more of a pass rusher, Leisle is more of a run stuffer. Last year the Saints were ranked 28th in rushing defense and 8th in passing defense (partially due to our blitzing attacks). I like Lavalais... a lot... but we already have several player just like him, namely Brian Young.
