As the Saints begin minicamp it’s worth noting: They still think they can win the Super Bowl
 

The Saints begin minicamp today, three days of practices that are open to fans. I’ll be over there to check things out tomorrow after also making a cameo last week.

But before I do, there was one thought I wanted to share from my trip to New Orleans, a not-so-shocking revelation that was still a bit shocking. The Saints still think of themselves as a team that can win the Super Bowl.

The way they write these articles makes it sound like they are REALLY surprised we still think we can win a Super Bowl

What are we supposed to do? Give up before the season starts or say to the media "I think we might struggle this year"

We gonna tear the league up, spags D is going to be good

Lmao was going to say the same thing. This dude really sounded amazed that our players still believe. What a tool!

This is really what pisses me off about the media......they think that because we're having a a bad offseason PR wise they think that the team is in complete shambles when as a someone that actually FOLLOWS what the team has been doing this offseason from a FOOTBALL standpoint(outside of the debacle of Brees' contract....which will get done) its not as earth shattering as people from the outside make it seem. The system is still in place even without SP. We have a new DC and an improved D thru FA/Draft and when Brees signs before training camp we'll still have the #1 offense in the league. All of this "the Saints are not going to make the playoffs" from media types is sensationalism based off of what happend this offseason from a Front Office/PR standpoint and its irresponsible reporting.

I bet you anything if we get to the playoffs as a 1-3 seed then you'll hear all these reporters and experts saying the exact opposite and jumping on the bandwagon.
