Wire Tapping Wait.

The wire taping accusations have taken a back seat to everything else lately. Does anybody know how the investigations are going? Any news? Most likely it'll wind up just being another false image in the public eye. We need to settle these accusations before they just become a bad memory that we can't shake. I am so tired of being slandered! I want and need closure on this!

I've seen on twitter that the police and other authorities still havent made a decision what to do about it. Translation they're just letting it go because there is no evidence of it any way.

Didn't the FBI close the investigation? I know the state police were investigating as well, haven't heard anything from them though...

Its dead. No evidence. Even if some is found, it's been too long and charges can't be filed. Dont worry about this BS anymore. It was ESPN's/NFL's way of trying to put a nail in New Orleans' coffin. Just like the "leaks" the NFL keeps having regarding the Bounty. It was only to make the team look worse so the national media would turn on them.

For all intents and purposes, the wiretapping story went poof as soon as Lee Zurik outed the name of the person making the accusations

Statute of limitations has passed. Even if there was a wire tapping ledger produced... nothing can happen.

Statute of Limitations only applies on the Fed level has nothing to do with the NFL. They can drop the hammer anytime.

Not necessarily...... With no federal or state investigation, and the dome having been remodeled, removing any or all evidence of what did or didn't take place, they NFL is left with a he said...she said situation.

Furthermore, the NFL does not have the same sort of leverage as they do with Bounty gate... This is not covered by the CBA, Coaches Contract, etc....

E.G. Goodell can try to rule but he is NOT the appellate in this case, and with zero evidence he will be over ruled...

In the case of the Patriots video taping the NFL had the tape... In this case they have shlt. They also have zero motivational factors to pursue this... there is no "knowing" victim to push the issue.

The Saints have hired their own Ex-FBI firm to look in to it. That's about all I know.
