Here's an early prediction from New Orleans Saints mini-camp workouts: First-year linebacker Curtis Lofton is going to quickly become a fan favorite. First of all, Lofton is a very good player. He's slated to start at middle linebacker and replace suspended captain Jonathan Vilma as the defensive signal caller.

Glad to have him! Especially nice to hear he's enjoying the city & culture, hope the whole experience is a good one for him.

When you read about him he sounds like not only a good player but also a good person. This might be a great pickup.

A change of scenery may be just what the Dr ordered for Curtis.

He sounds a lot like Vilma, and while probably not as smooth against the pass, is better versus the run.
