New Orleans Saints Rookie Defensive Tackle Akiem Hicks To Miss Two To Three Weeks With Broken Hand
It seems that the injuries are starting to pile up for the New Orleans Saints. Running back Mark Ingram has been injured this offseason as well as quarterback Chase Daniel. Furthermore, defensive end Greg Romeus just suffered another torn ACL. Now you can add rookie defensive tackle Akiem Hicks to the list; he is expected to miss two to three weeks with a broken hand.
Apparently Hicks broke his hand during the Saints’ rookie camp and shortly after that he thought it was healed. It was two or three days later when Hicks came back to practice that he broke it again; according to Hicks he came back too soon. However, this time around Hicks was not aware right away that he had broken his hand. Hicks said he broke the hand again but did not notice until his hand started swelling up. Shortly after the swelling Hicks got some x-rays done and the x-rays confirmed that he suffered a broken hand.
