OVERVIEW
Versatile defender with experience at both cornerback positions, in addition to playing strong safety and nickel back … One of the fastest players to ever wear a Utah uniform, boasting a 4.36 clocking in the 40-yard dash … Started 35 of 45 games, recording 213 tackles (121 solos) with nine sacks for minus-68 yards, 22½ stops for losses of 110 yards, five forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, an interception and 19 pass deflections.
ANALYSIS
Positives: Has a tall, long and naturally muscled upper and lower body, with very low body fat … Could add at least 10 more pounds to his frame with no loss in speed … Flashes good field awareness, alertly locating the ball … Has the foot speed to stay tight with receivers on deep routes … Does a good job in man coverage, using his hands effectively to reroute receivers from their patterns … Could shift to safety in the pros due to his outstanding ability to cover ground … Shows explosion coming out of his transition and crisp change-of-direction agility … Very aggressive in run support and does a nice job flushing the quarterback out of the pocket in backside pursuit … Uses his hands with force to drag opponents down … Punishes receivers when checking off the line … Stays low in his pads and does a nice job of redirecting when working through trash.
Negatives: Allows too much cushion, relying a lot on his recovery speed to get to the receiver … Has good hip flexibility turning out of his backpedal, but takes a big drop step that makes him appear a little slow with his initial burst … Runs well in zone coverage, but plays the receiver too loose to effectively break up the play … Plays the receiver, rather than the ball, doing a poor job of tracking the ball over his shoulders … Has excellent leaping ability, but poorly times his approach (needs to refine his technique in order to get to the ball at its high point) … Does not have natural hands to make the interception (but very effective batting the ball away) … Relies more on power and his hands to take his opponent down (lacks classic wrap-up tackling technique).

AGILITY TESTS
4.36/4.43 in the 40-yard dash … 315-pound bench press … 445-pound back squat … 285-pound power clean … 35½-inch vertical jump … 32¼-inch arm length … 9-inch hands … Right-handed.
HIGH SCHOOL
Attended Cimarron Memorial (Las Vegas, Nev.) High, playing football for coach Greg Spencer … Named Nevada Player of the Year as a senior in 1998, adding all-state and all-conference honors while competing as a linebacker and running back … All-region choice on offense, serving as team captain for both football and track … Led the gridiron team to the state championship (1997-98).
PERSONAL
Graduated in December 2003 with a degree in Sociology … Son of Arnold Parker and Kathy Jackson Gamble (lives with mother) … Father played basketball for Nevada-Las Vegas … Born July 1, 1981 … Resides in Las Vegas, Nev.
