Chris Pika, of NewOrleansSaints.com, reports a bone spur may have caused New Orleans Saints DL Rodney Leslie to slip to the fifth round in the NFL Draft, where the Saints took him with the 139th overall selection. "I had a high ankle sprain last year and it developed into a bone spur," Leslie said. "They went in there and cleaned up some scar tissue and get me ready for the league, so I wouldn't have any problems or have to deal with it anymore. There isn't much you can do about it except deal with it when it comes. I'm just happy the Saints saw through that." Rick Mueller, New Orleans' director of player personnel said the Saints had Leslie much higher than a fifth-round pick. "He's another guy who will come in with a chip on his shoulder," Mueller said. "I think he's ready to prove everyone wrong who passed on him."
