Reach for the stars and settle on the moon.

I'm no kinda legal expert but I wouldn't think the ruling on the players would affect the coaches at all.

The difference to me is, the coaches and Loomis confessed to allowing a "pay for performance" program to go on even after being told to end it as per their statements and that's what their punishment is for.

"We acknowledge that the violations disclosed by the NFL during their investigation of our club happened under our watch. We take full responsibility.

This has brought undue hardship on Mr. Benson, who had nothing to do with this activity. He has been nothing but supportive and for that we both apologize to him.

These are serious violations and we understand the negative impact it has had on our game. Both of us have made it clear within our organization that this will never happen again, and make that same promise to the NFL and most importantly to all of our fans." - Mickey Loomis & Sean Payton

Thats the beauty of handling things with Goodell... If legality had precedent, this entire ordeal would be different. Therefore, its "work Roger" time... lets just see how badly he wants this to go away... I would put the coaches in the first offer..

Time to think inside of Goodell's box and get creative in the world of the NFL.
