Training camp is right around the corner for the New Orleans Saints.

Finally the turbulent offseason seems to be coming to an end and we can get back to what is happening out on the field.

Here is my take on the most important pieces for success for the Saints in 2012.

13. DEFENSIVE END CAMERON JORDAN

In Steve Spagnuolo's scheme, Jordan will play the same role Justin Tuck had with the New York Giants. Jordan has more natural skills to excel as any defensive lineman in run support and as a pass rusher. He is still developing a different set of moves and countermoves to beat his opponent and rush the quarterback, but he is quite talented. His skills to rush from the inside in certain down and distant situations should really be put in the spotlight this season.
Comparing Jordan to Tuck... Wow; I sure hope it plays out that way!

The first two coaches on my list would be Carmichael followed by Spags. I believe their roles are more key to the teams success than Vitt's this year.

Others who should be ranked higher IMO:

Ben Grubbs - Nicks was the best tackle on the best offense in the NFL. He has huge shoes to fill. And you can believe no one wants him to succeed more than Mark Ingram.

Martez Wilson - Quick, name the Saints elite pass rusher. Exactly... The move to DE may be more "out of need' for the team, but it could also be the difference in this year's defense.

Other I would add:

Junior Gallette
Patrick Robinson / Johnny Patrick

He's just saying they're going to be playing the same type of role. That said, from an athletic stand point(his combo of size and speed), though he'll probably never reach Tuck's ability to get to the passer, he does have the potential to be one of the most solid and complete DL in the league. He's already proven his effectiveness against the run, hopefully with some better scheming and coaching, he can become a perennial 7-8 sack guy too. That would be one hell of a player.

Dude, I'll assume your kidding, but if you aren't you need some serious help.

Now if we don't at least make it to the NFCCG, then OK, you should.
