Hey jerlegg, let me read you a list of some horse's names. If you get a good feeling about any of them, let me know!

Yeah, good call. I kinda think they had it all pretty much agreed to verbally, or in their heads, written down informally on a cocktail napkin, so to speak -- and both sides were just waiting for the arbitration thing to come down about the salary cap...and then once the ruling came down, it took a little time to actually firm up the last of the minor details, but I don't think there was ever any serious rift, or a lot of haggling or fighting in the last week or anything. From July 3 (arbitration ruling came down) to July 13 is really not much time AT ALL, when you consider that everything they do has to be typed up and reviewed by lawyers from both sides and so forth, signed off on by Benson, etc. every time there is a change. I mean I'm not even sure it could have gotten done much QUICKER than this, after the arbitration ruling came down.

I'm glad he was right. Now we can all have a nice celebratory type weekend with no dark clouds hanging over our heads.
