Brooks Bashers & Brooks Backers...

Debate, even heated debate, is also welcome, but personal attacks and insults are not. I have been very lenient in the moderation of this board. I don't want this place to be overly censored like other boards, but I do not like the tone of the recent Brooks debate.

Please keep it civil... we are all Saints fans even if we have different opinions.

Brooks in the playoff run a couple of years ago has disappeared. He has tried to become a pocket passer and do something against his natural ability just like Kordell Stewart. If he would quit trying to be something he is not and just be natural the Saints Offense would be unstoppable except for the untimely penaltys every now and again. I still believe he can be one of the best qb\'s in the league it will just take him realizing that he has legs to run with and the sideline throws to get rid of the ball does not help his team.

I dont think there will be a problem with the bashing this week. Everyone saw Brooks struggle and I dont think anyone will want to fight about how good/bad he is playing the last couple weeks. I mean 35 yards passing in the first half and 28 on that flea flicker not gonna be worth the fight...Brooks is not the QB for the system we are trying to run, but he is the best QB we have talent wise. So maybe our O coordinator needs to utilize his strong points.
Don\'t roll to the left with a right handed QB!
Brooks needs to learn to get ppl on DL when they are unblocked and I can see that from the stand but he doesnt and Rice gets a quik easy sack.
I was impressed with Brooks hitting Reed on that hot route Kudos for finally picking up a blitz and making the right call to beat it!
I hope his injury isnt serious and we can get back together and make a push for the NFC South title and the playoffs!

Im not writing to bash brooks but I am writing in to say this week Saints should sit him and let Delhomme play. Ive always thought he could make a better qb for this team then Brooks. Im not trying to back him because he completed 1 pass. Im talking bout his style, he could be a qb like warner was, with all the weapons we have. Brooks is a damn fine qb when his head is in the game. We shouldnt sit here and talk about how bad brooks is. Give Brooks some rest and let him get his head together. What is the worst that could happen Delhomme throw some int\'s too late Brooks done threw enough. The most important factor in the success of these qb\'s is DEUCE!!!

OK.. personal attacks and insults are not acceptable. There is nothing wrong with people reading my post or replying with their opinions. But it is not acceptable to insult others because they have a different opinion about the team. The subject does not have to go away... that is what this board is for.

I posted this on top of other posts so people would see it! :P I just thought folks needed a reminder of board etiquette.

I think it\'s in response to my use of the words \"idots\" and \"jerks\" in a post I entered several days ago regarding Brooks Bashing. And if thats the case, then I apologize to everyone. Ya\'ll gotta understand those same people constantly bashing AB from their recliner as if he should just jump up and have Montana like numbers really gets to me. I think we\'d all agree there\'s room for AB to improve. :casstet:

This is my final comment on the brooks saga. I dont say bench him because of play. No one is perfect and the only way to make big plays is to take big risks. I feel if he\'s not 100% then rest him. He should still be the starter when he is healthy unless Delhomme has just lit up the scoreboard. Of course with the weapons the Saints have, probably anyone could light the scoreboard up, j/k of course. Saints just have to play smart and coach\'s just have to coach smart.
