Are the Saints Super Bowl contenders this season?

I hate to say it, and yes we have a chance, but I don't see it happening this year. The absence of our coaches alone put us at a big disadvantage. From what I saw from the Rams and Tampa games last year doesn't give me much hope without Payton. I also think our competition outside the division is a lot better than last year.

Hey I hope I am wrong and if I am I will be elated and eat crow, but I try to look at things objectively. If we do wind up falling short I won't be as let down.

Yea I think we will make the playoffs as a wild card at the very least.

the playoffs are a whole new season, if you think we can get to the playoffs why not the Superbowl where defenses win? Our defense has to be better than last year

I have to see the defense to believe it, but its hard to think of a better motivated season to win it all.

If the defense is in the top #15 yes, we will kill teams. If they are not then it looks like 2006 all over again,lol.

Just think teams like Chicago, SF, Lions, and Green Bay are going to be well coached and well defended games.I want to see them in action before I get too excited. Also our defense is an unknown at this point.
