To me, if it's true, that's a real show of solidarity. And of course Goodell is going to be there at the induction. With 80 Saints players sitting in the front rows of the audience, while Goodell makes his speech, this could get... interesting. I heard this last night, but can't find a link.

Suspended New Orleans Saints Coach Sean Payton will be in Canton, Ohio this weekend for the Pro Football Hall of Fame ceremony, according to a league source. Payton will not be attending Sunday night's Hall of Fame Game as the Saints take on the Cardinals as he's not allowed to because of the terms of his season-long suspension.

Payton would have had to receive permission by the NFL to be able to attend the event considering he's barred from talking to anyone employed by an NFL team. Payton would also have to call Ray Anderson, the league's executive vice president of football operations, within 24 hours of any contact of anyone from an NFL team to detail his contact.

Two players connected to the Saints will be inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday as former Saints tackle Willie Roaf and former Seahawks defensive lineman and Saints adviser Cortez Kennedy will receive their yellow jackets.
