Saints Training Camp Recap - Day 6

Sounds like Ivory & Morgan aren't having a good camp

Saints Training Camp Recap - Day 6 - Canal Street Chronicles

I've said it once and I'll say it again; johnny Patrick is going to be a great player for us!

4 picks in 5 days!

Luda34 08-02-2012 04:59 PM

I believe when guys make mistakes in training camp maybe the guy that force the fumble made a good play. Chris did a good job when he played holding on to the ball I believe he will be alright. I don't see anyone talking about Drew throwing all these picks in training camp same thing.

I don't believe everything I read on canalstreetchronicles
Any credible sources reporting from camp?

Utah_Saint 08-02-2012 05:02 PM

"Scott Shanle says the Saints defense is stylistically similar to that of former Saints defensive coordinator Gary Gibbs."

I really wish I hadn't read that.

What a bunch of hacks! Morgan has been a star receiver right along with AA the entire camp. Because he fumbled a punt/kickoff he is having a bad camp?? Morons!!

Star receiver? Morgan is facing third team guys like Elbert Mack. Let's keep things in perspective.

Umm I was reffering to that acrobatic catch's he has been making. Who else have you heard about mostly other than Morgan and AA? I don't care if he was going up against my grandma, good catch's are good catch's.

New Orleans Saints defense should be more versatile, less predictable under Steve Spagnuolo - New Orleans Saints Football NFL News - NOLA.com

Canal Street Chronicles isn't a "source." They aren't reporters. They're just fans with a blog, reading and reacting to the same things you read. A bit more intelligently. Perhaps you should take the time to understand what you are talking about before speaking.

You should absolutely believe everything you read on Canal Street Chronicles. They are only gathering and using information that comes from credible sources. Like the Scott Shanle quote above which you believed not to be true when obviously it is. You are only making yourself look like an uniformed fan.

You are hearing more about those guys because they're on the roster bubble, fighting for a roster spot. It makes for good content and it's what people want to read.

Seems like Drew always does this thing of throwing picks in training camp, he gets kind of loosey goosey with it. He'll throw a bunch of picks in big batches. Makes me wonder if he is kinda lobbing the ball up there, on purpose, a little bit, so the defensive coaches can see what they've got and so the young guys in the secondary can get pumped up for the season, get psyched for "arriving" in the big-time NFL, pat themselves on the back. There was one pick he threw, that I saw on TV the other night -- you know how they will show it a couple of times in a row, while they talk over it? And my reaction watching it was kinda like, oh man, I dunno -- this play looks weird somehow. A little fishy.

Hold up. I just realized something. Are you on here to bash because we don't agree or like what another website is saying? I am assuming you are from that site then no?

Why should we beleive eveything we read over there and not here? Last I checked this was our forum..if you don't like what we are saying then leave. Which is exactly what the MAJORITY of us here do with regards to CSC.

QBREES9 08-03-2012 10:56 AM

I these reports, but I take them with a grain of salt.

You may say whatever you want about CSC whether positive or negative, I really don't care. But whatever is said should be based in fact.

Some people seem to have the idea that CSC is a "source" of Saints information, as if they are the media. They are not the media. They don't break news. They don't have access to the team. I have seen many people on this board bash CSC for not being a legitimate "source" of news when that isn't even what they're trying to do. It's a blog. It's opinion, just like everything here.

This thread is a perfect example. Seer1 used the Scott Shanle bit from CSC to illustrate that you can't believe everything on CSC. But that's exactly what Shanle said. CSC didn't make it up.

Well maybe that is where the confusion is then. I have never thought of them as a "source". They are a blog. As far as I know, the folks here don't like the site because of the people that blog. I have never seen a reference here regarding them as being a source. Maybe I just wasn't paying attention.

I think you took what he said the wrong way. I get what you are saying. I took it as Halo saying "are there any credible reports coming from camp" in response to the Morgan is having a bad camp.

I assumed the same thing. The blogger acted like he had information to that fact. I would assume maybe he was there. That statement goes against everything we have heard thus far about Morgan, which is why I called him a hack.

Most here do not agree with what is being said by the BLOGEERS over there hence why we don't like CSC. That is all. It's not personal.
