Very diplomatic Mr Goodell. How long did you consult your PR department before releasing that statement.that statement is about as vanilla as the gameplan we are going to call Sunday. At least Brees had the balls to call it like he sees it.

By "continue to do what’s best for the game" he means, give the impression that we care about player safety by, very publicly, throwing one team under the bus, regardless of facts or fairness.

I loved Drew Brees when he had the shoulder injury and the Chargers let him go. I was hoping Minnesota would sign him to take over for Culpepper when he went down with the knee injury.

In hindsight, I’m glad he never came to Minnesota. He’s evolved into one of the least likable players in the league.

Since when has Goodell's responsibility been about football? I thought he just spent all year perfecting the art of thug-hugging draftees. I am shocked that the guy wasn't chunking deuces in the photo ops.

Well mr goodell, if your job description also says you have to find a way to make football a contact sport with no hitting/tackling or any form of physicality then you are very close indeed!!

Still playing the "integrity" card I see, Roger? I could go all day about unpopular decisions you've made that didn't bring this kind of outrage. And that clearly is because this isn't an issue of popularity, it's a matter of no facts.
