Anyone else see Payton on the sideline?

I thought he was only allowed to be at ceramonies? Maybe Goodhell is starting to cave a bit.

I think it was a "one night only" thing. It's back to "no contact" until further notice.

Budsdrinker 08-06-2012 08:23 AM

Didn't see him and don't believe he show up Gotohell that fast.

Luda34 08-06-2012 06:02 PM

Yeah I didn't see him either

He's giving the Juicy Fruit a break.

QBREES9 08-06-2012 09:50 PM

I didn't see him.

The Dude 08-06-2012 09:56 PM

He was there. At the beginning of the game he was slapping fives with Vitt and a couple of other players. I didn't see him after that.

That's just crazy. I thought he was only allowed at the ceremony Saturday, not the game?

Thats what I was saying. Goodell must feel the heat is on and is trying to give the public the impression that he's not a heartless bastard after all.

Banned Sean Payton quietly slinks out of Canton

The NFL allowed Payton to attend the Hall of Fame dinner Friday night and the induction ceremonies Saturday night.

CANTON, Ohio — Sean Payton walked into the terminal at the Akron-Canton Airport with his son at 9:45 a.m. Sunday to catch a flight out of town about 10 hours before his Saints would walk on the field to play the Cardinals in the Hall of Fame Game at Fawcett Stadium.

Under different circumstances, of course, Payton would have been on the sidelines watching as Drew Brees drove the Saints right down the field on their first possession for the first touchdown of the 2012 NFL preseason. But Payton has been suspended for the entire season by Roger Goodell in the BountyGate scandal and is not permitted to attend Saints games.
Payton didn’t have much to say when approached by the Daily News. Asked how he was doing, he said, “I’m doing good.”

The NFL allowed Payton to attend the Hall of Fame dinner Friday night and the induction ceremonies Saturday night.

Former Saints offensive tackle Willie Roaf was inducted in the Class of 2012, but Roaf never played for Payton. The Saints team sat together for Roaf’s speech — the first of the six on the night — and left when he was done.
