I need to find that post from Saintz08 about teams not being able to game plan for a QB that\'s not the starter...:) Jake did well in relief....

I sound like a broken record but you\'re gonna hear it all year long....bottom line: either use AB in a mobile fashion or let Jake run the West Coast offense. Jake did it yesterday almost to perfection.

2 predictions:

1. If the coaches don\'t figure out AB he\'ll be another Jake Plummer.
2. Jake ends up starting in Baltimore next year.

I`m NOT a Brooks basher. I think the guy has done a tremendous job......but I have to scratch my head sometimes and wonder why we run the offense we do with Brooks talents. Let`s play run and gun with Brooks and not \"Jim Mora\" control offense. Atlanta would be 3-9 if they tried to make Vick play the kind of offense we run. Look at the 4th quarter stats this year on Brooks in the games where we we`re trailing. That`s his game, let`s run it.
I`m also of the opinion that Jake is right where he needs to be right now. Kinda gives Brooks a lil competion thing, and with Jakes latest performances, let`s the players and us fans know we got very capable back-up. Guys, I`m so excited about whats going on here I can`t sleep! We`ve already beaten the playoff leaders this year except for Oakland, we just gotta do it again.

\"SF\": I agree with you totally. Regardless of what you and other people imagine, if you\'d pay attention to the players I think you\'d hear them call Brooks the leader. I\'ve heard \'em say it in interviews. I\'ve heard \'em say it on AM870 ( I can actually get that station after dark here most nights in Dallas). We\'re one game away from the best record in football. Frankly, Brooks simply must be doing something right...right?

The Bucs owning Vick is a comparison to Falcons owning Saints . The Falcons Defense knows how to stop Brooks ala Vick . When you know a players limitations , you know how to defense him . Like Beerman , if I was an opposing coach I would line the fastest special teams tackler on the left side of the line , because Beerman likes to run to his right .

Because of the obvious heat from the press on the lack of leadership skills on the field , the team has addressed it . Haslett covers for some players in his press releases too . It would not be uncommon for a coach to fine a player for saying something negative to the press .

Middle linebacker was the big mistake during the off season , Clemmons is to slow and Cox is too slow . If the Saints play the Dirty Birds in the play offs , the need to put James Allen in the middle to spy Vick ...

So now you\'re saying the coaches and players are \"covering\" for AB\'s lack of leadership? What ARE you smokin\'? I\'ll admit I agree with what you said about Lewis and Clemons and Cox, but I\'m shakin my head in disbelief with regard to your persistance in bashing AB from any and every angle. I swear I think you make this stuff up sometimes. I recognize the fact that you\'re an intelligent football fan, but you have problems with AB that winning the Super Bowl wouldn\'t resolve. :casstet:
