Anyone watch the Panthers game?

I missed the first quarter but I heard Cam looked like dung. They keep showing his stooped face between every play. It looks like they are very deep on defense. The Texans have made several long drives that were held to field goals.

Re: Anyone watch the Panthers game?

Cam is showing signs of a 2nd year hangover.

hard to tell much in preseason, I just know in the pro bowl he blew a wad.

I'm watching the game. The Texans defense pretty much had Cams number tonight

he played one series. maybe two.

Re: Anyone watch the Panthers game?

played two series. NOt a great showing by Cam. threw one pass late an almost had it picked off
there defense allowed big plays over the middle. Their rookie LB played very well. In on alot of plays in just two drives.
typ first pre season stuff. Missed tackles, assignment issues on defense.

Luke Kuechly did not look like a rookie, I hate to know we gotta face him in the division...

Re: Anyone watch the Panthers game?

I watched the first couple of series and had to keep reminding myself that it was only a preseason game. They were stinkin' up the place. If they play like that during the season, they're gonna give Atlanta another meaningless playoff berth.

Vrillon82 08-11-2012 10:26 PM

Re: Anyone watch the Panthers game?

with that defense in Atl, Tampa may stop them from getting to the playoffs.

Atl = 10-6 last season

Tampa and Car = combined what? 8-24 or something?

with the Falcons inability to beat good teams, Tampa and Carolina feeds Atlanta enough to get into the playoffs.

I just can't watch preseason games unless our Saints are playing.

I don't really care as much about non Saints football any more. I'm spoiled.

Cam appears to be full of himself. Nothing umble about him. However the game will make him humble this season.

Ok, you're the appointed opponent pre-season watcher.
Watch the opponent's pre-season games and report to us who was good and bad. :D

I can only stomach watching maybe 1 drive of an opponents pre-season game. Saw 1 drive last night and flipped the TV to the food network.

Re: Anyone watch the Panthers game?

Not that it matters but Andrew Luck looks amazing. I have never seen a rookie QB play like that. Even in pre season.

edit
I didn't see Halos smart ass comment before I posted this.

Re: Anyone watch the Panthers game?

I saw a bit of it... same thing as last year; the DTs need to be disciplined to keep the middle plugged, so Cam doesn't take off: he doesn't have the shake and bake of Vick, so don't give him a north-south view... cover his first, maybe second read, and he's confused.

He looks pretty accurate and is getting pressured (by JoLonn Dunbar bTW) and isn't making stupid mistakes. I would say for his first game ever he looks pretty damn good.

Come on, man. He isn't playing against the 85 Bears in December, is he? It's not like bodies are flying around in the Colts backfield. He has been touched once, maybe twice, but most of the time he had time to look around and step into his throws.

I mean, the young man looks the part of an NFL QB, but let's put things into perspective here.

Im not saying he is playing the 85 Bears, all I am saying as he looks as good as any other QB playing this preseason so far and that is pretty damn good for a Rookies first outing. Yea its pre season and he could completely flop come regular season but give the kid his due, he looked good.

... well, we went from amazing, to damn good, to looks good... if I keep replying I may take you down to declare him a bust.

I am giving the young man his due, he looks the part of an NFL QB, but that is it.

Luke the LB looked really good everyone else look bad. The team all together played really bad. The Texans defense looked really good I think there going to give us a good game.

Sooner or later his arrogance and self-promotion will catch up with him. When you think you're the greatest and know it all, reality is just around the corner.
