Jaguars guard arrested after scuffle at a bar

Christopher Naeole was charged with disorderly conduct and released from Duval County Jail Sunday.

A veteran right guard for the Jacksonville Jaguars was subdued with a taser and arrested at 1:45 a.m. Sunday in Jacksonville Beach, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Christopher K. Naeole, 29, of Queen's Harbour, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct on the premises of an establishment.

According to a police report, a Jacksonville Beach police officer saw a 320-pound man in a shoving match with staff members of the Ritz Bar at 185 Third Ave. N. at closing time and ordered them to stop. The big man lunged at one of the employees again, and the officer zapped him, the report said.

The 6-foot, 3-inch man was cooperative after being tased, said the officer, who had been working off-duty for the Ritz. He was taken to the Duval County jail, where he spent about eight hours in custody before being released, a jail official said.

The scuffle began when a staffer started whistling to get customers out at closing time, according to the report. A patron argued about the whistling, then picked the staffer up off the floor, the report stated. The other employees thought their co-worker was under attack, the report said.

A bartender reached at the Ritz Sunday afternoon declined to comment on the incident.

Jaguars spokesman Dan Edwards also declined to comment Sunday, and Naeole did not respond to a message left on his home voicemail.

Naeole plays a part in what critics have called one of the best offensive lines in Jaguars history. He had four penalties last season and allowed only 2.5 sacks. The offensive line allowed just 28 sacks in the season, a record franchise low. Naeole makes about $1.5 million a year.

I find it absolutely hilarious that you will instantly point out the positives of another teams players. They were 11-22 over the last two seasons and its well known Chrissy\'s run blocking mostly consisted of getting shoved into his own RB.
