Gregg Williams is on a Journey.

Just in case if anyone was thinking what Gregg Willams was up to.

That's okay I guess, but if I were him I'd probably spend the time learning how to coach a defense

Gregg Williams CONTINUES to get fluffy press coverage when, in the eyes of gOD-HELL, he was the architect of Bountygate..... rather GOODELLGATE!!!

Quote:

Starting next week, Williams will travel to the remote villages of rural Northern Thailand, millions of figurative miles from ground zero of the New Orleans Saints' "bounty" scandal.

According to La Canfora, Williams has spent the summer "quietly working with various high school and college programs, going around the country to lend a hand."

Now, he sets his sights on more worldly endeavors after a lifetime spent on football fields and in meeting rooms. He will visit four tribes in Thailand's opium emporia known as the "Golden Triangle."
So basically this MAN-BOOB IDIOT gets fluffy, touchy-feely press on NFL.com while Vilma fights for his career IN COURT with the NFL and the idiot commish.

I hope Williams chokes on a chicken bone in Thailand!

From the way this reads.... Its Goodell promoted propaganda.

Williams is spilling his gut, or had spilled his gut to Goodell, I am sure he typed 49,985 of those pages of evidence on a laptop in Goodells office..... In TRADE.

The set up: Goodell uses NFL.com to periodically make statements about how GW is reforming him self.

The delivery: Next season GW will be reinstated by Goodell, with the justification that GW is a reformed man.

Interesting he is going to attend a military bootcamp, after he spends missionary time with tribes in the opium triangle of Thailand...

Going from Ghandi to R. Lee Ermey?

Also notice the tone is separating GW from the Saints..

This is propoganda...

This looks like a contrived effort to "repair" someone's reputation, so the minions will not disapprove of a reinstatement.

I really thought the league was trying to "show their FALSE compassion" with Payton attending the HOF ceremony and not being allowed to have contact with the players.

They sure did make sure the interaction Payton and Brees had made it onto the airwaves.

I get what you're saying -- I agree 100% that they were trying to play up the FALSE compassion. But the way it came about, was actually kinda flipped the other way around. Having both Roaf and Cortez Kennedy going into the Hall, and the Saints team actually PLAYING in the game, on national TV, it actually kinda forced the NFL's hand. The NFL sorta had to cave in and let Sean Payton go to the ceremony, because by all rights he belonged there.

Cortez Kennedy works for the Saints, as an advisor to Payton and Loomis (who knew him in Seattle); that's why Payton's son was wearing a Seahawks jersey and why Payton had the number "96" on his t-shirt at the ceremony -- that was Kennedy's number. So the two men are very close friends. SO there was all kinds of lobbying going on behind the scenes, and it basically backed the NFL into a corner. The NFL would look absurdly mean-spirited to not let Payton be there, and they'd look ludicrously bent on technicalities. In fact Goodell looks that way already.

So here's Sean Payton, with his arm around his son on TV, being a dad, showing off his serious ties to the NFL and his friendships and his clout -- he and his son show up in their Seahawks gear, like the biggest super-geek Cortez Kennedy fans in town. They're there for the ceremony! And Goodell gets a mic stuck in his face and asked a bunch of questions about the punishments and penalties. He comes off looking like a red-faced fuddy duddy. Payton ends up looking like the dream dad everybody wishes they had. It was a genius move by the Saints, to pull this all together.

And I believe it was done on purpose -- to show the world how ridiculous the Sean Payton yearlong suspension is. The fact that you and me and everyone else in the world, saw how FALSE the NFL's "compassion" was, is exactly what was needed.
