Replacing Vitt the next big test for Saints

New Orleans is about to have its third different head coach in a little more than four months.

From all accounts, the decision to make Joe Vitt interim head coach has worked well for the Saints thus far. Players like and respect Vitt. He is suspended head coach Sean Payton’s right-hand man and has conducted camp in a way that would garner Payton’s approval.

The transition from Payton to Vitt was a smooth one, but Vitt will leave the team in less than four weeks when he begins a six-game suspension for his involvement in the Saints’ “bounty” program.

Will the next big transition for the team be just as seamless as the last one?

I don't understand why people think that it's that big of a deal. We have a team with great veteran leadership and absolutely ZERO character concerns when it comes to the players. People talk about it like the players are going to be completely disinterested and slacking off because of the coaching situation. I can't freakin' wait for the season to get here so that the Saints can continue kicking a$$ despite all of the "obstacles" that are supposed to cripple them.

I think they know what they're doing and, I also think it's possible they may do something like, hand over the actual coaching reins from Vitt to somebody else in one of these preseason games, for part or all of the game, and NOT TELL ANYBODY they are doing it until after. Remember when Carmichael started calling the plays and being the voice in Drew's headset, they actually kinda didn't tell anybody until after the switch had already happened.

And so has Loomis and the Saints organization.
I find the Saints to be a well oiled machine, where before Payton's arrival that was not the case.

It's so funny how awesome of an organization the Saints have... Everybody still thinks they're inept because of the past and B.S. allegations from Herr Goodell this offseason. The Saints aren't going away folks... New Orleans has been through the worst as a city and come back from it, so good luck NFL keeping our team down!!
