Officiating Saints vs Jags

At first this season I didn't think the scrub refs would be such a big deal..

They absolutely kill the pace of a game...

Those two pass interference calls were BS. This is not college, arm bar is allowed.

That WAS an interception.

Did you actually have to go under the hood for ball placement from a previous play? That is what the chains are for jackwagon!

Why did you call a pass incomplete but spot the ball as if it were a reception, then throw a delay of game flag because we couldn't figure out WTF you were doing?

Those Zebras cost us the game.... I have never in my life blamed officiating for a loss, and I know this is preseason... But they really did screw us.

Really in the game their was 4 BS Pass Interference calls, 2 on the Jags last drive, and 2 earlier in the game I think Gabbert may of still been in the game.

They ruled Hendersons incomplete pass a catch.

They ruled was it Whites? Interception which was clean an incomplete.

They missed several holding call.

They had to use instant replay to figure out where the ball was last spotted.

Jags scored 27 pts in that game, Refs gave them about 14 of that.

So lets say....... Saints 24 Jaguars 13

Really for the sake of it, lets not even count the Saints last TD because it wasnt necessary and call it Saints 17 Jaguars 13

Henderson's catch was complete. The ball is allowed to touch the ground.

Ruling on the field was complete and I saw that replay two dozen times, it is not conclusive enough to overturn the ruling on the field.

I still can't get over the 2 back to back phantom PI calls, you can't cover any better...

Same ref called both of them also.

Worst I have seen in a long time.

But its pre-season and they're still developing as well.

It wouldn't have bothered me nearly as much if the calls had gone both ways. We were hosed all night long.

I miss the old referees. These ones are trash.

The refs last night were garbage. Everyone will miss holding calls but the PI calls? The one on the last drive was clearly overthrown and not catchable. I know they are replacement officials but last night was absolutely pathetic.

Not only was it an uncatchable ball, but that wasn't pass interference on any level of football from Pee-Wee to the NFL.

They looked like a bunch of drunks the NFL rounded up off Bourbon St.

I think this is just some sick joke to make us realize how good the real refs are. Point taken!!

By far this was the worst officiating that I have ever seen. No one was really happy with the strike officials, but this is just short of rediculous. This type of shoddy officiating will change the outcome of games during the regular season. This is the kind of thing we need to shout at the top of our lungs about so that Godhell has to cave in. This is another grand fiasco by the Kommisar.

The NFL's upper management gets to fly around in private jets and make rediculous salaries and yet they won't pay the professional referees the money to keep the game smooth and fair.

That game was also three hours and thirty five minutes long. Ridiculous. If they don't get a grip on things, it is gonna really mess with TV, radio, and pregame/postgame coverage, once they start playing two and three games a day. Can you imagine what will happen if it's 12:20 left in the 4th quarter, and network rules require that the game break coverage and be switched from Saints/Falcons or Saints/Panthers to some national "headline" afternoon late game in a double-header. What is the NFL gonna say/do about that. Not just Saints, it could happen to any team. Probably will happen.

I thought they all bore a rather uncanny resemblance to the kommisar.

Yes and did you see how that ref reacted? He didn't throw the flag until 5 seconds after the play was over and he was looking at the other ref as if to ask him, "Should I throw a flag on this one too?" These refs are going to ruin so many games this year. I am more afraid of them, then I am of the opposing team.

It was at that momnt that the ref heard Goodell's voice through his ear piece saying "throw the dam flag".... In reality, Goodell is the one that had the Dome wired to listened in and communicate when and with whom he shouldn't.

These guys are going to change the outcome of the game. I will be very pissed if we lose a game because of blatantly poor calls and it effects our home field advantage.

From the way it sounds they have been severely screwing up other games also.

But the question is...

Are they significantly worse than the league officials?

I'm of the opinion they're very close on the total suckage scale.
