Apparently the 15 lbs of dreads were weighing him down, restricting his vision, and or hearing... Since he cut them he has been a new man.. After seeing the Texans game twice and the way he was in A. Johnson's face, causing nearly every pass to be contested...

I am going to go Wayyyyyyyyy out on a limb with a prediction this year.

Patrick Robinson - The 2012 Darren Sharper! I am going 8 interceptions this year for Robinson.

Re: Patrick Robinson

My expectations for him are off the charts. I expect him to make the probowl, or be on one of those "who got snubbed" lists, barring injury of course.

I was impressed with how he handled Johnson the other night.

Re: Patrick Robinson

Interesting thread... Robinson has been a disappointment in my eyes. Don't see the "it factor" you guys are seeing. I see a decent cover corner who can't tackle.

Because out of all our DB's pat has showed he can catch and anyone that can stay step for step with Andre Johnson like that, nearly making 2 picks against him is worth getting excited about

Im expecting all of our backs to make an improvement this season.
With Bunkley in the line and Hicks showing great potential that should hopefully help the Ends to get more pressure on the QBs.
Far too often we gave QBs too much time and nobody is going to keep receivers locked up that long.

That my untrained eyes opinion anyway.

Re: Patrick Robinson

Robinson had some pretty good numbers last year too.

He had the 7th best QB rating against at 59.3

Conversely Porter had on of the highest completion percentages against last year. (Lots of things factor into that though. While it's not good, it's not as bad as it sounds)

Re: Patrick Robinson

I like Robinson, but I don't see anything special from him either. As TheDeuce mentioned, he is a solid cover man who struggles to bring guys down in the open field. He's a diving tackle who doesn't wrap up well.

If he can be opportunistic in coverage and make opposing QB's not want to throw his way it will make his tackling issues less of a weakness.

Re: Patrick Robinson

I can go either way with this guy. I'd like to see him this entire year as a starter before I pass judgment on how good/average/bad he is. I've been burned too many times before with high expectations of a corner only for them to disappoint me.

Re: Patrick Robinson

I didn't see the game or hear anything on it. When i do hear something on him, it has always always been negative.
I really do like what I have read here from y'all who has been watching him. Lets hope this year he can pull what Sharper did for us.
