this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Some interesting stuff from footballtalk.com regarding the Chris McAliister impasse, the Jeff Duncan/Peyton Manning article, a possible move to the Raiders by Eddie George, and their belief that Rich Gannon will still be asked to take a pay cut. http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm...

Talks about the Manning \"jabbing at Delhomme\" piece. I as one didn\'t really take Peyton\'s remarks to be mean spirited, just sounded like he was joking around. I guess some others took it the wrong way.

That site is run by Manning haters, so any tidbit that can be used against any member of the Manning clan will be used against them. Don\'t know why that is, but they are a bitter, bitter bunch when it comes to anyone named Manning.

It was their blind criticism of Archie during the draft that turned me off to that site. I still check it, but they\'re too quick to bash good people, especially on the college page.

Here\'s my take. A significant group of people are so enamored with Brooks that they attack the Mannings. It isn\'t as much Manning hate as it is crazed Brooks love. If they say it often enough, Brooks really will be an elite QB and show that Archie was this horrible loser who didn\'t leave it all on the field for years for a team that had no real chance to win. Archie showed more class and heart than this organization has seen before or since. Some folks feel that to admire Archie is an attack on Brooks.
