Toon looked bad but I think he still makes the team purely because of bloodline.

I'm disappointed Toon didnt do well. I have high hopes for him, but you got to think this was his first NFL game.

canfield lit it up again, in pics and fumble, don't believe he is nfl caliber, looked good at times , sluggish most of the time. he may have took his last snap as a saint, barring no qb injuries this season. we have to look for someone else to stick 3 years into. he has tunnel vision. the picks looked not even close to our recievers. jmo, he's not for me.

I did not get a chance to watch the game yet, and probably will not, but from what I've read, and seen so far this pre-season, it may be time to find a new number 3 prospect QB for the practice squad. I am not impressed with Canfield at all.

As for Toon, this is a sticky situation. Dude has some real potential, but has been hurt. Tonight was his first game, and it is being said he didn't impress. I am kind of wondering at this point, what do the Saints do with him? I doubt the Saints could sneak him on the practice squad, and I am not really sure he has earned a roster spot. If I was the Saints, I may go on record (blink-blink) and say his injuries haven't healed and put him on IR.

I won't judge Toon too harshly because it was his first action and he had Canfield throwing to him. But, he looked like a rookie WR for sure. Cadet could literally be a star somewhere else. The guy has ALL the skills. Hartley is the kicker and he's looked good. The Saints need to find another practice squad/developmental QB. Canfield just doesn't have the skills to even be a quality backup in the NFL.

Cadet will be on the roster. Once they started punting it out of bounds to him that said it all. As the commentator said, he played fearless. Loomis also hinted in the box that there is room for both he and Ivory and threw out the words practice squad. He also pointed in the direction that Toon hasn't done much of anything to help himself. I have a feeling he's gone.
