The other seven members: defensive end Braylon Broughton, linebacker Ezra Butler, guard Ricky Henry, guard Harland Gunn, tight end Michael Higgins, cornerback Nick Hixson, and receiver Andy Tanner, who had a strong training camp.

A notable name missing from the list: quarterback Sean Canfield, who has bounced on and off the practiced squad for the past couple of seasons.

Below are the player bio as provided by the Saints in their news release:

Broughton, 6-6, 272, joined New Orleans as a rookie free agent from Texas Christian after the 2012 NFL Draft. In the preseason, he recorded four tackles and one sack. He also appeared in both postseason games and posted a ten-yard catch.

Hixson, 6-0, 189, was signed by New Orleans after the 2012 NFL Draft out of Hillsdale College. In the preseason, he posted two tackles and one pass defense.
