METAIRIE, La. — Middle linebacker Curtis Lofton walked to his locker in the New Orleans Saints’ locker room and, upon turning around, noticed he was surrounded by a gaggle of recorders, microphones and TV cameras.

Then he definitively shot down any theories that his ankle was hurt enough to keep him out of Sunday’s curtain raiser against the Washington Redskins.

“I’m playing,” Lofton said. “I’ll be out there. Today was an extra day so I just another day of rest for us. But as of Wednesday, I’m ready to go.”

Glad to hear Hawthorne is back on the practice field. Seems like things are starting to look up again.

"I was a little nervous, but throughout the past couple of weeks from talking to some coaches I could get the sense that they were counting on me to get back and help this team," Arrington said.

Arrington, who practiced fully Monday, said he'll be ready to play against the Redskins.

"I feel good," he said. "I did everything in practice. I'm not 100 percent obviously, but I am good enough to go."

AA needs to step up and show everbody he play. Oh yeah and play a full season ! Andy Tanner wants your job.

Who cares about Arrington! What has he had 6 catches his entire career? As usual he will be a non factor on the bench.

I think Morgan beats out AA by the 4th week. I can also see AA getting injured and Tanner coming down to take his place.

Got to be AA last shot this year.
Toon and Tanner will be knocking at the door next year if he doesn't step up.

Seriously. This guy has done nothing in the last three years except try to make the team.
