What if...

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; What if Deuce McAllister tears his ACL in Week 4? What if Jim Haslett is fired by mid-season? What if Johnathan Sullivan gives a lesser effort every game? What if Darrin Smith starts? What if J.T. O'Sullivan starts at QB? ...

What if Deuce McAllister tears his ACL in Week 4?

What if Jim Haslett is fired by mid-season?

What if Johnathan Sullivan gives a lesser effort every game?

What if Darrin Smith starts?

What if J.T. O'Sullivan starts at QB?

What if Will Smith proves to be a bust?

What if the Saints go 3-13 this season?

What if the Saints go 13-3 this season?

What if Aaron Brooks becomes the league's best QB?

What if Michael Lewis gets cut?

What if Sam Gash starts at FB?

Note: Most of these probably won't happen. Just try thinking outside the box a little ;)

What if...

1. We\'re screwed.

2. We\'re saved.

3. Wouldn\'t be a shocker.

4. See Above.

5. We\'d be OK - the Kid has heart and some skill.

6. He won\'t.

7. No surprise.

8. No surprise.

9. Doubtful, but he can be top 5. If he is, and #1 does not occur, then #2 should if they\'re not in first place by week 8.

10. He probably will.

11. We\'d run a lot of one back sets or TE motion to the backfield.

What if...

1. Don\'t ever say anything like this again - even in jest. :mad2:

2. We can all start watching more college football and getting ready in November for the 2005 Draft.

3. I\'m gonna hit the ceiling because I didn\'t want to give up 2 firsts for one player anyway.

4. Then #2 is not far off.

5. Then we\'d have wasted a lot of money on the other 2 Qbs on the roster.

6. What\'s new? I tell you what. A first rounder that plays up to potential.

7. #2 had already gone down and Venturi took over the ship again. At least he got us that one last win in the final nine games that keeps us from having the #1 overall pick! [sarcasm]

8. WhoDat will ask us to forget his disparaging remarks about Haslet.

9. #8 will be attainable absent #1.

10. The thrill is gone anyway.

11. Karney will get to watch...and learn (I hope.)

What if...

1. Never happen.
2. Won\'t happen until the end of the year and the team would have to have a 10-6 record or less and miss the playoffs.
3. Won\'t happen, I think he will put it together this year.
4. Alot of experience, could lead the young guys on and off the field.
5. I don\'t think this is a drop off from Brook\'s, that\'s why we\'ve kept him around.
6. We still have a decent line without him and it won\'t be the first time that has happened to us.
7. NOT THIS YEAR.
8. At least 11-5, so I definitely think this is possible.
9. Could happen and if it does no defense can stop us.
10. Oh well.
11. He might for a few games only and that is if he makes the roster in the first place.

Golf and sex are about the only things you can enjoy without being good at them.

What if...

I forgot to add a disclaimer:

If (IF!) Deuce gets injured and misses the better part of the regular season (and he WILL NOT), I am willing to take full blame for cursing him. :casstet:

To Scotty - C\'mon man, cut me some slack. I\'m still a newbie.

What if Darrin Smith starts?
I don\'t think that would be so bad if he got a starting spot in certain packages. Take a look at SaintRob\'s defense video and see how many times number 54 makes the play.
I didn\'t see any other linebackers on the highlight reel. That\'s been the main problem the last few years, in my opinion.

Yeah... I saw #54 in a bunch of those plays. But weren\'t most of those plays from 2-3 years ago? Once they reach 31, they start slowing down...

But I REALLY enjoyed watching Michael Vick get the snot knocked out of him.
I can\'t wait for the day when Vick gets his neck broken. THAT will be the best day of my life!

Neck broke is TOO harsh but I wouldn\'t mind a broken leg
