I think GW system really held a lot of our players back. Gregs problem was he was too hard headed to change a scheme that wasn't working with the personnel we had. A great D-coord would have changed the scheme when he realized his scheme did not fit the personnel. It was GW ego that kept this defense as ****ty as it was. Only an idiot would blitz over and over and over again expecting a different result. They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result.

I agree. I believe Williams system just used the d-line as block eaters to open up space for the blitzers most of the time.

I believe it was Ellis that said that exact same thing in an intervew this pre-season.

He looked good at times through the pre-season. I think the D certainly going to be better than last year.
