Is Ambrose a liabilty

Guys, I am really starting to think that Ashley Ambrose is a liabilty for the defense. The guy gets blowned by all the time, and if it weren't for Fred Thomas, our Passing D would be atrocoius. Why cant Haslett just sit down with Ambrose and tell him that he has had his time in the sun and let other guys like Fakir Brown and Jason Craft take his place? It would help a a lot this year if we are going to make the playoffs

You may get your wish. Amborse will likely be starter when camp opens, but I don\'t think it\'ll be long before Craft takes over. I like Ambrose and I wish we\'d have kept him all these years, but he looked more than a step slower last year. With the new rules about CBs putting their hands on the receivers (or more enforcement of the old, depending on how you see it), Ambrose will probably be a penalty magnet this year.

See how easy it is to influence somebody? I just read that \"penalty magnet\" phrase about 3 hours ago on another post and I\'m already using it.

We all know that no DB can cover any receiver for as long as the Saints DB\'s were expected to last year. They did pretty good the last 7 or 8 games last year. With our improved D-Line this year that should take some of the pressure off the DB\'s to cover for so long.

I think the group of DB\'s we have will do at least average this year barring injuries and the new rules.

I think we need to add some depth at CB, but not Mckenzie.
