Just look at pre-game comments and its obvious we were over-confident. Reminds of the Rams game last year and the Cleveland game two years ago.

....and we still had a chance to tie the game on the final drive. Folks I remember a time we looked like we were playing another sport than the other team....

I agree, reminds me of the old Saints. Let's hope this lights a fire under their ass, the interference call was BS, but the Saints were just terrible today.

If Payton was here I'd have no doubt. But our offense looked absolutely pathetic today. Was it just an off day like the rams last year, or is what happens when the brightest mind in football is suspended for a season?

Honestly, I don't know.

Our defense was a little worse than I thought they'd be, but our offense was a bazillion times worse than I thought they'd be.

We're about to find out how much influence Payton had on our offense next week. If we lay an egg against Carolina, its gonna be a long year and we'll struggle to even make the playoffs.

Thats what I'm gonna remember from this game. How we stunk it up on all sides of the football and still almost pulled it off.
