Marques Colston

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; This is where we are going to miss SP. Colstons a$$ should have been benched with that CRAP performance. Dropped balls..fumble. Hard to win a game when your #1 receiver looks like he'd rather be taking a nap....

Re: Marques Colston

He played like garbage. I don't know what can be done about that. Everybody looked horrible. If we can't beat a team with a rookie QB in our house then who can we beat? That game was supposed to be a gimmie!

Re: Marques Colston

i dont know whats up w/ colston. sure, he was covered well on those drops, but, that used to not matter! colston used to ALWAYS come down w/ those balls!

i had wondered why i read very little about him in camp, as far as highlights go. i had wondered why he wasnt doing anything in the preseason games. he apparently has lost the ability to get open!!!! granted, the redskins has a great secondary, but, still! whats up, colston? and whats up w/ ALL of our recievers?

Re: Marques Colston

Look. The fumble out of the end zone is like one of those one-in-a-zillion plays that happens every once in a blue moon, and it's completely crazy and there's almost nothing that you can do to prevent it. The problem is not that Colston fumbled while going for the end zone on an absolutely crazy play, the problem is that the whole rest of the **** team did not respond to it, with elevated intensity and drive, and a better performance to make up for it. Crazy stuff happens in football. When it's not one guy's day, the others are supposed to step up. That didn't happen.

Well it must be really crazy then cause this same thing happened with him last year. He didn't have any ball control, it wasn't like the ball was stripped.

Re: Marques Colston

You mean the fumble play against Green Bay when he BROKE HIS COLLARBONE? Give me a break. Like you could do better. Colston is fine. Good thing you are not a coach. Let's bench him and put in Joe Morgan, maybe he won't drop the ball. Wait what. That play was one in a million.
