Communication with individuals on the field should not be a learn as you go type of thing. So many mistakes in this game by our players (penalty wise) yet the head coach says nothing to the players responsible. Do I expect a learning curve, yes, but I expect him to act like he was on the field. In the skins game he could have been in the box and you wouldn't have noticed.

I do hope he steps up, we need him to. However, I have been a Saints fan for too long to see us rise to greatness only to go back to accepting mediocrity. That goes for players and coaches alike.

Do you know for certain that's what happened? Or just what they shown on tv?

Just curious, HOW DO YOU KNOW that he said nothing to the players responsible? Have you been in the team meetings all week? Were you on the sidelines last Sunday? Stood next to him at every practice? Come on be realistic. OF COURSE he said something to the players and coaches. He's just not going to air that dirty laundry in public. Get a grip. Even if you were in the freaking front row of 142, you don't know anything of what was said.

Section 603 and never saw him communicate with players or refs. Is it possible I missed it, sure.

Not saying I don't think he can be a great coach. I just want to see some fire from him. Our players had that from payton and they need it from someone now.

Everyone has different personalities and coaching styles, players responding to one doesn't mean they can't or will not respond to a different style... Give the man time, it was only "one" game

Talking about during the game, and not just the players. The awful call on Harper (PI) and yet no reaction out of him. On the other sideline you could tell Shanhan (SP) was on fire for every bad call, I could tell even from the upper deck.

I saw Sean Payton just standing there unfazed during the 9ers.
I saw crazy calls during that game yet Payton just stood there like a boss.

Payton is not a bad coach.

On the other side I saw Harbaugh screaming and crying like an idiot at the smallest things.

The reality is that just because one coach yells at his teammates more doesn't mean he's a better coach.

In fact I've noticed the ones that yell the most are usually the bad coaches(Todd Haley, mike singletary, etc)

Harbuagh is different but he's always at everybody BUT his team.

Whereas the coaches who stand unfazed on TV seem to do well.

Mike Tomlin
Bill Belichick
Payton(most of the time at least on tv)

If Mike Shanahan was the better coach, he wouldn't be in a position to need a QB like RG3.

Best thing I have heard anyone say in a long time. We need to hold this team accountable like fans hold LSU and Les Miles accountable. Miles loses one game and fans scream for his head, yes this year we are in a different situation with Kromer, but they have to be held to some kind of standard.
