Quad-W (Week 2)

Who WhoDats Want Winning!

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 16TH

Week 2, Game 2: BUCCANEERS @ GIANTS
a. Why it is important: Bucs looked good in their season-opener. Right now, they have a 1 game lead in the division. Giants laid an egg in Week 1 vs. the Cowboys.
b. Desired outcome: Pull for the G-MEN, but I won’t blame you if you pull for the Bucs. Odds favor the Bucs coming back down to earth. But for now, we need all our division opponents to eat our dust (and not vice versa). Take care of your division, and you’re in the playoffs. Worry about seeding later.
c. Confidence factor for a good outcome: Hard-fought game; Giants get back on track. 6.5 out of 10

Week 2, Game 3: RAIDERS @ DOLPHINS
N/A: AFC opponents

Week 2, Game 4: TEXANS @ JAGUARS
N/A: AFC opponents

Week 2, Game 5: BROWNS @ BENGALS
N/A: AFC opponents

Week 2, Game 6: CHIEFS @ BILLS
N/A: AFC opponents

Week 2, Game 7: RAVENS @ EAGLES
a. Why it is important: Eagles are an NFC Conference team.
b. Desired outcome: Pull for the Ravens. Ravens looked strong vs. the Bengals in their season opener. And since Baltimore has sole possession of 1st place, Ray Lewis’ locker room speech should be interesting in firing the Ravens up. Upset possible only if Ravens lose the turnover battle.
c. Confidence factor for a good outcome: 8.5 out of 10

Week 2, Game 8: SAINTS @ PANTHERS
a. Why it is important: Saints play a division rival.
b. Desired outcome: Saints need this one for the division AND conference win column. We’ll have an idea of what type of team we have. If the Saints drop this one, it will feel like de ja vu: 2007. I don’t see it; this Saints team is too talented. But look for the Panthers to be very emotional early in the game. If the Saints get up on them early, the Panthers will probably press outside of their game plan, and will likely unravel before our eyes. Saints 31-20
c. Confidence factor for a good outcome: 8 out of 10

Week 2, Game 9: CARDINALS @ PATRIOTS
a. Why it is important: Cardinals are an NFC team.
b. Desired outcome: Pull for the Patriots. New England will likely win this one going away (at home). Cobb looks to start for Arizona this week. That may fire-up their offense. Turnovers will be important, and the Cardinals have a swarming, opportunistic defense.
c. Confidence factor for a good outcome: 8.5 out of 10

Week 2, Game 10: VIKINGS @ COLTS
a. Why it is important: Vikings are an NFC team.
b. Desired outcome: Pull for the Colts. Vikings know that the NFC North is more competitive, and it looks like the Packers are not invincible. The Colts will look to have Andrew Luck fired up for this home game.
c. Confidence factor for a good outcome: 5 out of 5 (toss up)

Week 2, Game 11: REDSKINS @ RAMS
a. Why it is important: Both teams are NFC rivals.
b. Desired outcome: Pull for the Redskins, who now own the tiebreaker vs. the Saints. Rams played their heart out at Detroit, but came up short. Turnovers will be a key. The Rams’ defensive scheme may cause problems for the Redskins. But Redskins’ confidence is now sky-high, and they might be taking on the character of the 2006 Saints (who came out of nowhere with 2 road wins to open the season), and got the #2 seed with a 10-6 record.
c. Confidence factor for a good outcome: 3.5 out of 10

Week 2, Game 12: COWBOYS @ SEAHAWKS
a. Why it is important: Both teams are NFC opponents.
b. Desired outcome: Pull for the Seahawks. Cowboys are likely to be a tough rival for postseason seeding. This game marks Tony Romo’s return to the place where he fumbled & bumbled the snap & hold for a potential go-ahead field goal (at Seattle). Cowboys will likely be very focused in this game (…too bad).
c. Confidence factor for a good outcome: 4.5 out of 10

Week 2, Game 13: JETS @ STEELERS
N/A: AFC opponents

Week 2, Game 14: TITANS @ CHARGERS
N/A: AFC opponents

Week 2, Game 15: LIONS @ 49ERS
a. Why it is important: Both teams are NFC rivals
b. Desired outcome: Pull for the Lions. The 49’ers home opener will likely be too much for the Lions (even with Megatron & Titus Young), since they still don’t have a running game that scares anyone. Turnovers and time of possession will be key in this game.
c. Confidence factor for a good outcome: 4 out of 10

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 17TH

Week 2, Game 16: BRONCOS @ FALCONS
a. Why it is important: Do I need to tell you?
b. Desired outcome: Duh! Peyton Manning will likely have a big game on Monday Night Football. He is usually “lights out” on MNF. I like the matchup of Denver’s secondary (including Tracy Porter) vs. the Falcons.
c. Confidence factor for a good outcome: 7 out of 10 (Upset Special)!

WIDW - What I disagree With...

Week 2, Game 2: BUCCANEERS @ GIANTS
The Bucs are no real threat. The Giants are. Pull for the Bucs

Week 2, Game 11: REDSKINS @ RAMS
We must finish ahead of the Skins, and the Rams are no playoff threat. Pull for the Rams

Yea I didn't get that especially since the wrote that the Redskins obviously own tiebreaker over us. Makes me think it was a misprint. I think the Rams will beat them. LOL Cowherd said today that the Rams were an "EXCELLENT" team LMFAo. Anyway I agree with you we must pull for Rams as they are no threat whatsoever.

I disagree about the Bucs. They are probably no real threat, but its too early to tell, especially with the way we played Sunday. Until we field a better team, which will likely be this Sunday, I am not convinced we won't have a hard time handling the Bucs. I would agree with you if this was a bit later in the season and we knew our teams identity with the coaching situation but now I just am not convinced.

Danno,

That was a typo... I should have written: Pull for the Rams.

I think you know that, since I acknowledged that the Redskins own the tiebreaker.

Good catch.

I like the Denver/Atl game because I think Atl has a weak defense.

I doubt Atl could ever keep up with Denver.
