He knew how much the Saints relied on Payton, so that is why he went for the kill shot with the season-long suspension!

The Saints should have just forfeited the season and screwed it up for Goodell

I got to hand it to him. Not only Payton, but the 6 game suspension of Vitt in the first six weeks was a master stroke, makes sure the season will be just effed up enough to cripple the team, eliminate the team from the Super Bowl, but still not effed up enough that it really points the finger back at Goodell at the end of the day. He is getting exactly what he wanted, punishing Benson and the Saints fans for supporting Payton. Vitt comes back, the Saints will look respectable, but it will probably/possibly be too little too late.

If he could have suspended Brees as well, I have no doubt that he would have!

Whatever the outcome, we all need to take some accountability. That team should be good enough to not look as amateur as it is right now. It's too easy to blame the bounty sanctions for this performance so far. Sure it has had a massive impact and will all season but maybe if we all took a lead from Payton and 'Did our Job' we'd come out of this with at least our heads held high!

Losing to the Redskins and Panthers are the current coach's and players faults. The only one I can honestly give a pass to is PT. He is a beast!

Maybe we were supposed to take a dive vs the Colts in the SuperBowl. By SP calling the on- sides he pissed off RG and Tracy wasn't supposed to pick off Manning and here we are today:

No Coach
No Bounty
No Vicodin
No Tuna

But we have cool looking collars on our shirts!

Why hasn't Goodell done one %^$&^ing thing about the Giants publicly saying they INTENDED to give a concussion to a player that has a HISTORY OF CONCUSSIONS?!

Why hasn't Goodell pulled the Hardest Hit videos that the league sells and shows on the NFL Network?

Why does Goodell STILL want an 18 game season when no one else does?
