Can we start Wilson instead of will smith yet?
 

Will smith has done absolutely nothing since 2009 now, he looks old and slow and cannot beat anyone in one on one situations anymore

He was great at getting pressure in 2009, but the situation we are in I'm more bothered about what have you done for me lately?

Answer - nothing

Still don't see why the coaches can't just start Tez, we have the 32nd rank defense now, it can't possibly get any worse and Tez might give us an injection of speed of the edge

Our defense is slow and we have faced 2 of the fastest teams, come on coaches just bench smith and start Tez, even I can see he isn't performing

Wilson has looked great on special teams. Sounds like a great idea to me.

It's gonna take Smith being suspended or hurt for Tez to get his shot. But what the hell do we know. We have been saying Shanle is crap for 4 years yet he is still the starter.

Moral of the story is we have a Wide Receiver, and a Running Back that has yet to play Running back with 1/2 as many tackles LOL

Okay, Jenkins has 11 solo tackles and Lofton is tied with Harper for second with 9...

And we wonder why we dont have a good D or any stand out players. I still blame the coaches for putting trash like Shanle and Jenkins on the field.

I sure hope that will smith and ellis are gone at the end of the year. They are overpaid and underproductive. Does anyone know how much cap room letting both of those deadweights go frees up?

From what I understand, since we restructured Smith, we can't do anything with him this year. Ellis is on his final year of contract. I think it's safe to say that he will not be here next year.

Of course, we have been saying that Shanle won't be here another year and that was 4 years ago..lol

Yet we praise the front office for all of the "under ther radar" free agents they find but they are dumb as posts on evaluating defensive line talent. All the DL picks are horrible! I don't care who the DC is, as a great man once said "You can't make chicken salad out of chicken Sh*t" Also no one will ever underestimate the value of a TRUE HEAD COACH!! Roger should have suspended the whole team for the season it would be much easier to take as a fan.

Junior? Give the boy a shot? But I'll bet Smith has more gap discipline and better outside contain than both Junior or Tez, but that might be just coincidence since ol' Willie is obviously slower and just can't move anymore.

Tell ya what: Switch the roles of Will and Tez/Junior plus the roles of Ellis with Walker/Johnson. Why not? They'd certainly bring more fire and excitement. They'd also bring more penalties and mental mistakes, but I could live with that considering the lethargy and apathy that our defense is playing with now. Let the kids have a bigger role.

If that actually gets done but fails miserably, I'll gladly eat crow for that. Just some passion on the D side would be nice to see. The incentive of a larger pay day for the kids is a bigger incentive for them to produce than trying to get the multi-millionaires Smith and Ellis to exert themselves for jack-squat.

FYI...thinking Ellis is ready to run for Seattle in the offseason to rejoin his USC roots, and I'd be extremely shocked to see much of anything out of this @$$clown the rest of year. He has more than clocked out just judging by these last 2 games, and I ain't talking stats (even moderately effective DT's don't show up too much on the stat sheet).

Tez needs to be given a shot, he really can't be worse than smith and would probably give our D a fresh approach

The only d lineman I like that we have is cam Jordan, akiem hicks might be a steal

Will Smith is done... I wish the Saints would see that... Shanle... im still not sure why he is on our team... I havent liked the guy since he was signed... but hopefully n the upcoming weeks the guys on our D can get Spags system and put sum hurt on somebody...

I've been wanting Smith gone for 2 years now same with Shanle and both are still on team and the defense continues to struggle, its time to cut these old, underachieving, overpaid players and give the young guys a chance. Whats the worse that can happen now?
