Like you know STOPPING PEOPLE ON 3 AND LONG....................Oh and I pray Drew plays his game. Looks like he is spread as thin as our CB's. You can't be coach, QB, motivational speaker, GM, water boy, and try to show everyone you deserved that contract. Just Dew you Drew.

Tampa seemed to handle Cam and RB's pretty well when they played. Jeff Fisher seemed to contain RG3 pretty well too... I don't know..

I'm not on the blame Drew bandwagon. He's trying to make up for more than he has to in his entire time in NO. He has too much pressure on him (metaphorically and during the game!)

It absolutely does matter, just not the score. Its a glorified scrimmage. Saying pre-season doesn't matter is like saying practice doesn't matter. (please don't post that Iverson nonsense)

Spuds system will work with the right personnel that he don't have right now. He needs to adapt to what's s ail able to him and go from there, can he, will he that's the million dollar question

His past results more or less speak for themselves.

He handled us pretty well last year with off-the-street 5th and 6th str CBs.

And we had literally the best O-line in the league, and he still was able to get to us and disrupt Brees' rhythm (and sack him a couple of times to boot).

Give the man some time to find his pieces and put them together how he likes. Keep in mind he's still largely playing with gregggggggggggggggggggggggggggs D

...hmm.. 300 yds passing/rushing with 3 TDs for Griffin against the Rams, with actual NFL footage to study for a week... Man, if that's "containment", I'd hate to see RG3 run wild.

I was REALLY stoked on all the new stuff with the team after that Hall of Fame game and the Patriots. I liked Grubbs, the D, the new linebackers. The starters were checking everything off the What Do We Want To See checklist on defense -- sack, fumble, pressures, interception, shoulda-been-a-safety, not letting teams cross midfield for a whole quarter...we even almost solved Arizona's preseason QB controversy for them! Then the starters in the Texans game, it seemed like a close but winnable slugfest, just like every time when we play them. Then ever since the Jaguars game, man, it's been a steaming cowpie out there. It's a fricking nightmare.

* sheds tear, at the memory of clobbering Kevin Kolb in the end zone, like in the good old days *

Nice that you can read stats. If you watched the game that the Rams actually touched RG3. They gave him problems. Because he was able to pass the ball for 300 yards means he was as advertised. And yes the contained him enough to win the game. Redskins are 1-1 the last time I checked.

Let's compare game stats:

Attempts/Completions
19/26 v NO
20/29 v STL

Passing Yards
320 v NO
206 v STL

Average per pass
12.31 v NO
7.10 v STL

2 TD v NO
1 TD 1 INT v STL

Rushing attempts/yards/TD's
9/42/0 v NO
11/82/2 v STL

Gee, they touched him! The humanity.

I am simply saying that a team "containing" a QB to 300 yds and 3 TDs is not really "containing" him, lest you expect RG3 to be gaining 400 yds and scoring 5 TDs a game.

Isn't it sad how we are talking about "getting away with" a win against an 0-2 team?

Man, even given the off-season we had I would never have thought we would be in this position.
