That was the Scam Newton I know and love. Where was that turd last week?

Oh yeah....we aren't the Giants defense and can't even generate any form of pressure and rush defense. That's right.

Difference was the Giants caught the balls that hit them in the hands.
3 INT's and the defense played discipline ball. They kept to their assignments, they didn't freelance and guess on the read option. They knew which man was theirs and they stuck to him.

Ummmm, is there any other train in the station right now?

I'm not riding the 2007 Giants train, that's just something people are saying right now to make themselves feel better.

There is another train in the station, Seer, it's the "Joe Vitt is going to come back and right the ship" train. That's the one I'm riding. Heck, I'm up there in the front shoveling coal, trying to get it to go faster.

I think a LOT of the things that we are missing (fire, passion, fixing mistakes, crappy defense, O-line problems, penalties) are things that he can really help turn around by coming back. He's no Sean Payton, but he is Payton's right hand man, after all. He's also Payton's Mr. Fix It -- his normal job as Assistant Coach is to go around fixing stuff that Payton wants fixed, making sure the team and coaches are prepared, chewing out people when they screw up, making sure the players are all on the same page, riding their asses and motivating them. I believe it's going to look a lot different out there when he gets back, for the tough part of the schedule.
