Seriously man, what happens to your business when sales are down because of the product you're putting out. Let me tell you if you don't know, you go bankrupt. 1 player that's under achieving and hurting team since he was drafted is no reason to keep him on the field regardless of what you're paying him. Sometimes it's better to cut your losses to make more in the long run.
Please don't compare Drew's situation to that of someone like Sedric ( Twinkie) Ellis.

I wasn't comparing drews situation. I was just saying for instance. And no were not gonna go bankrupt because we are still gonna pay to at least see the offense play in hopes they can win every shootout we are gonna get in this season. I'm telling u they will never start Tez over smith because smith is making the bigger pay check. Neither will we see hicks start over Ellis. Because the D line won't preform but it's ok we won't lose any money because fans will still come out to watch the offense.

I never said anything about smith even though he is getting a little long in the tooth, my comments were directed to 1 individual (Twinkie). don't be surprised if Hicks doesn't get the opportunity to start over Twinkie. This guy does absolutely nothing but collect a paycheck, he's easily blocked by anyone on opposing offenses as well as cant tackle unless he has help from another teammate. how long can this go on, it wouldn't be like he would be the only player in the NFL making a big salary to get benched for a better less payed player.

Ill disagree. Exhibit A: see Shanle.

As stated before he grades out as the worst starting OLB in the league for 4 years but Vitt gives the guy praise in interviews. Hindsight is always 20/20 but after 4 years of hindsight proving them wrong, maybe they would have some foresight to see Shanle shouldn't start.

We need to take the rose colored glasses off and realize this team was great because of Payton. He carried this awful D every year and won the SB.

And no it don't matter how pathetic and how underachieving the defense plays Tez will NEVER start over Smith nor hicks over Ellis ONLY because thu draw the bigger check. And we will not go bankrupt because the FO knows that we the fans will still show up to the games if nothing else watch the offense with every hope of us winning every shootout we get into this season. I'm telling u that's why our better 2nd string will never start over the underachieving pathetic first string. The nfl is a business now they don't care about playing the best player available just the highest played player. It's obvious and it's common since.

Use some common sense, at some point the best players play regardless of money. Example: How much money was vince Young paid, guess what he was benched for a player making less and i can continue on and on. lets just agree to disagree and leave it at that.

Hicks didn't play in the first game and he was on the field for plenty of snaps last week. Looking good in the preseason doesn't mean jack... Hicks just needs to step his game up now that it matters.
