It could be the new name of the dome, or it just might be the 500 yds. our D give up at home in the dome. 500 yds. we're lucky they didn't hang a 50 burger on us. Our O had plenty of chances and ended up a lot shorter than KC should have. If anyone defends this D about this game should watch it again, and if they can't see the 50 burger that should have been hung on us keep watching. We were lucky to be in the game. Everything needs changing, starting with the attitude or should I say lack of. No fire in the eyes, we look beat already.

Remember, we didn't just lose our coach, we also lost Joe Vitt, a key member of our defensive coaching staff beyond just his role as our interim coach. We also lost Vilma who, I would argue, is our most important defensive player. I say that because, while he may have lost a step physically, he was our general on the field. He could have been a guy that led the transition from our old D to our new D.

On offense, we lost a key piece of our o-line and the o-line coach now can't help the transition there because he is acting as head coach.

I'm a kickboxer. What I see happening to Drew and our offense is something I try to do to my sparring partners. I get people thinking about my jab, then fake the jab so they try to block it leaving themselves wide open for a left hook. Drew is so used to getting pressure that when opposing defenses drop extra people in to coverage Drew will still rush his throw and it leads to a pick. If we would rush the doggone ball we'd be showing the opposition we're not over-committing to the pass and teams would have to think twice about dropping extra guys into coverage lest they get the ball crammed down their gullet by one of the FOUR backs we have.

I guess my point is that we'd be mental to think about firing anyone as a result of this season. We just have to hunker down for a long season and enjoy the wins that we do pick up. On the Sundays we don't win, we should be keeping in mind that we're a great team that's going to probably get even greater by adding a high draft pick, and next year we're going to have a pissed off Sean Payton at the helm....and it's going to be awesome.

It's when the fans show their azzes like some of these posts that I take pause.

Really people. Lose with class and win with humility.

THANK YOU. It had to be said. We lose probably the most shrewd and organized head coach in the NFL, PLUS the defense is learning a new defensive scheme. What'd y'all expect?

Just support them through this tough time like we did when they rattled off those double digit win streaks (though some of us still complained during THAT).

As far as this Saints team goes, there have been much, much worse ones not so long ago. Ain't no point getting mad considering the circumstances. Settle in and embrace the suck. If or when we turn this thing around, the team can legitimately say they have the best fans in the world, through good AND bad. Like a marriage, it's through sickness and in health.

Good news is that we ain't gotta worry about them dang annoying bangwagon folks for a while since we're sitting at 0-3.

We lost our two most experienced coaches and now we have no one who knows how to run a team. Kromer has been in the league 20 years and he's still a position coach and has never been a head coach on any level. Spags is new to the team and has his hands full with the so called defense. Carmicheal is showing why he needs to be thankful that he's Payton's OC because he's not a leader or a particularly good play caller.

I'm not questioning anyone's fanhood. I'm just saying if you're going to be a fan be a good one. These guys have been handed the biggest **** burger any pro sports team has ever been handed. The freaking commissioner deliberately destroyed one of the best teams in his league. But he only wins if we let him. Keep loving our team and our guys. They're the same ones who gave us 14 wins last year.

They did not "quit". It is frustration... Our 2012 players, like some of the fans we have garnered since 2009 do not remember the feeling of frustration of nothing working.

Try and look at it from a players perspective. They have gone from being champions and being known as one of the most prolific offenses in NFL history to not being able to put more than 300 yards. What did the players do to cause that? Absolutely nothing. As far as the defense, they have not been very strong consistently for a very long time, one of the commentators in the game said something that is very true... In the last 4-5 years all of the emphasis has been put on the offense to outscore and make up for our lack of defense, now that the offense is out of sync the spot light is on the defense and they are not used to that.

Frustration and confusion takes its toll mentally and physically, I did not see anyone quit, what they tried and did just didn't work.

Try sitting in a bar and watching a Saints game and a Lions game simultaneously where they both go into overtime and lose. I swear, the similarities between these two teams is alarming ... it's almost like watching the same team switch uniforms and jump TV screens at times ... the crappy secondaries, the lack of tackling, the record-setting QB's passing game not there, the offenses, the dropped passes, the highs & lows ... I honestly was having chest pains and considered checking into the emergency room, seriously.
