What Do We Miss Most From Payton?

Wow - I really thought that the coaching transition would be seamless. I'm amazed at the huge drop in our performance from when Payton is involved.

We're essentially competing with a 3rd string coach right mow. What are we missing most from Payton? I'm thinking maybe it's game planning - but it seems like there's MUCH more missing than that.

What Do We Miss Most From Payton?
Everything.
Now for a serious answer, having a HC, the boss of the players and coaching staff, in something that is not there as in the behind the scenes things we never saw. On the sidelines, his play calling as the game changed is missed. That is all I know to see. Behind the scenes, we don't know and that was it. I think it was tough preparations during the week, filmfilmfilm, fines to the late players, stuff like that. At half -time when the Saints would be down in points and plays, they would come back with a whole new attitude and game play. He did something to them in those 15 mins, between some tough talk and new plays, game changes.

I think it is game planning. I think we are learnign what type of man this is. Guess this is why he wanted Parcells to fill in.

Another guy had an interesting theory on here-basically losing him and vitt is hurting because we have now lost two position coaches. Basically coaches are getting squeezed for time. Sounds logical to me.
