About bloody time.
The only downside is that if it would have gone it it may have cost the Commissar his job.

Everyone thinks this is roger Goodhell's decision and its not, this deal has to be excepted by the owners 31 owners, their the greedy SOB's that don't want to continue the Ref's pension plan that's been in place for a long time.
The NFL is the only professional sport ( that I care about ) that doesn't have full time officials, so the owners position is that if their part time they are not entitled to a pension plan that the owners have to donate too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep. And I also heard that they are Barely part time. Like, 38 hours a week as opposed to 40. But you are right, this one's on the owners, and Rodger is just the voice behind them...

I understand that rog has no "juice" in this negotiation, as well as that he is a pawn of the owners.

Roger, 10-4.

But he HAS made enough decisions in the past, that have had direct bearing on the team I root for, to make me a) find him to be not very good at his job, despite what a good person the pundits say he is, and b) to want him to lose his job because, well, he sucks.

and btw, aren't there 32 owners? Or does one person own two teams?

Packers don't have an "owner". They are community owned.
