Limit the Leaps

If the Saints want to leave Lambeau Field with their first win of the season, they must avoid last season's storyline vs. the Packers: falling behind and running out of time to rally. The Saints trailed by 15 points with less than six minutes remaining before Drew Brees found Jimmy Graham for a 5-yard touchdown and after the defense forced a punt, Mark Ingram was unable to reach the end zone.

So far this season, the Saints have made this mistake against Washington and Carolina, playing both games from behind, and lost both.

Get to Rodgers before he gets to end zone

During Green Bay's controversial 14-12 loss to Seattle on Monday Night Football, quarterback Aaron Rodgers was sacked eight times - all in the second half. While his offense was able to make adjustments, it exposed a chip in the armor, one the Saints defense would be smart to take advantage of. Rodgers is, like any other NFL quarterback; only as good as the offensive line and running backs pass protecting him. During the first half, Green Bay was shut out in the first half.

True that they have to come out and hit them in the mouth. Now Green Bay does not I say again does not have a running game so stop the pass.

IF the D line shows up and IF the o line shows up and IF we can run the ball and IF we win the turnover battle, then this one is in the bag...

Seems like it might be smart to start Galette and Hicks on the D-Line instead of Smith and Ellis, respectively. I mean, we need the best pass-rush possible. But who am I kidding... we don't make those kind of smart adjustments lol.

I can't stomach another sub par RB with over 100yards against us.

The Marshawn Lynch nutt grab in the playoffs STILL makes me want to go Tonya Harding on that dip $hit.

the packers lead the league in sacks. hopefully, they'll be plenty to around for our rotation.

i thought smith played great last week. did you not? i mean, he did have a sack and was just a second away from a sack on a couple other occassions.

Same old story. Saints have to protect Brees and pressure Rodgers. The best way to protect Brees in my opinion is to GROUND IT AND POUND IT. Give Rodgers as few snaps as possible.

I couldn't agree more. Maybe a great start to the run will spark/light a fire under the receivers and they might start catching some damn balls.

RUN IT...GRIND IT...POUND IT...SOFTEN THEIR LINE!
